You see, on Thursday, while the rest of the world had their eyes glued to the television, speculating about dress designers, tiaras, bouquet flowers, and all the rest, I was making the 13-hour trek to Michigan. I arrived exhausted, with just enough energy left to enjoy a beer with B before crashing into bed. The next morning, a few hours into Royal Wedding-palooza, I was ironing a set of black robes with the most ridiculous sleeves I've ever seen.

Yes, Friday was B's graduation day. He is now, officially, a Master of Music, and I'm so incredibly proud of him! He's worked so hard these past two years, and it's wonderful to see his labors paying off. I will be spending the next week with him in Ann Arbor, giving us time to look for a place to live next year, and giving me the chance to interview for jobs. There's a lot riding on these next few days, so we have to make them count!
And although Friday was a whirlwind of pomp and circumstance (ha!), and this weekend held plenty of to-do lists, you can bet that tomorrow morning while B is singing for a funeral I will be planted in front of the tv watching the six hours of Royal Wedding coverage I forced him to DVR. Come hell or high water, I'm watching that wedding! No spoilers, please!
