Is he gone?
...
You promise?
...
Okay ladies, the time has come. I can't hold it in any longer. Remember when I said I wasn't going to share pictures of me in the dress with anyone except my family? How I was all coy and smug about it?
Well, I caved.
While I was in Florida on our Sibs Vacation, I got an email that my dress had arrived at the store back home. Needless to say, I was super excited to get back to SD and see her in person! And despite my best intentions, when that time came I just couldn't contain my excitement: within minutes I'd sent pictures to all my bridesmaids, plus my FMIL and FSIL. I told you I'm bad at keeping secrets!
So I thought it was only fair to share with you, since I've shared with everyone else!
Allow me to present, Oleg Cassini CWG365:
You guys, I abso-freaking-lutely LOVE her!!! She has everything I wanted: the lace, a chapel train, an embellished waist, and most importantly she's not strapless - my top priority. The halter neckline is extremely flattering and it's great to know that I won't be self-conscious about the girls all night. In a later post I'll tell you how I decided on this dress (because there is a story here, to be sure), plus my curvy-girl tips for dress shopping. But for now, I just want to use this post to revel in her glory.
The entire sales crew at the store was almost as excited as I was to see the dress -- it was the first time they'd seen the style in white (the in-store sample and featured color on the David's Bridal website is ivory/champagne)! They oohed and aahed right along with me (and everyone else in the store). I felt like a real live bride! And the best part is that it hardly needs any alterations -- just a little cinch around the waist, a stitch here and there and she will fit me perfectly!
Did you keep your dress a secret from friends and family, or did you share pictures as soon as you could?
