Ok, so I know Thanksgiving has barely passed, but this is just how I roll. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, like clockwork, all the winter decorations come out and it looks like Currier and Ives
threw up holiday cheer all over my house.
It's a big deal in my family - a tradition. Growing up, some of my favorite memories center around the Christmas tree, hanging our hodgepodge of sentimental ornaments, baking pumpkin bread and listening to Mannheim Steamroller. So naturally, if I could pick any time of year to get married and not have to worry about logistics like the weather or driving conditions, I'd pick Christmastime, hands down.
Imagine the possibilities!

As with all themed weddings, you'd be walking a fine-line between elegance and tackiness. But if I were brave enough to tackle the challenge, a holiday wedding is absolutely the theme of my dreams. Of course, this is a wedding of fantasy, entirely in my head. If I were to actually attempt to orchestrate a winter wedding in South Dakota, we would inevitably end up with a day like this:

But you can't blame a girl for dreaming. Does your family have special holiday traditions? What wedding themes do you lust over? And are you braver than me and pulling one off yourself?
