Sometimes I worry that my obsession with all the tiny details gets on B's nerves. As far as grooms go, he's one in a million. He enjoys being involved in the decision making process and wants to help out wherever he can. I'm a very lucky bride, and incredibly grateful for him. But at the end of the day he's still a guy, and guys tend to be "big picture" oriented. They're just programmed that way.
He wants to be have input and feel like he's helping, but he doesn't understand why I care so much about every tiny little detail. Meanwhile, I love that he has opinions and wants to be involved, but he's so far away and it's hard to make decisions together when you and your FI aren't actually together. Sometimes I can't help but think how much easier it would be if he'd just let me plan things my way (I know, I know, the grass is always greener...)
But this is one detail that I think he'll actually be excited about (yet I'm keeping it a secret from him for right now....hmmm. Maybe I should rethink this strategy). Over the weekend, I scored a great deal on these vintage stamps:

Could they be more perfect for us?!! Ebay, you are amazing. Where else can you find unused vintage stamps at face value, and buy them with confidence from a "Top Rated Seller"? Nowhere else. I'm going out to see B next weekend, and I'm hoping when I show them to him he'll realize that, while it may drive him crazy, the little details are what make our wedding a reflection of us.
So now I'm on the hunt for some other stamps that are equally fabulous and will correspond with the performing arts theme. Here's a couple I have in mind:

Any other suggestions? I guess a big part of the decision will depend on how much the invites will actually cost to mail, but we won't know that for awhile. It's fun to imagine the possibilities, though...
Did you use vintage stamps on your invites? Which ones did you use, and where did you find them?
